- I’m not against AI. I believe it has huge potential to improve lives. But without clear communication and respect for user data, we risk creating a system that grows by exploiting people who don’t even know it’s happening. It’s time to make technology more human and more honest.

Every day, millions of people share content online photos, messages, art, and thoughts. Most don’t realize that some of this data may be used to train artificial intelligence tools, often without their clear knowledge or permission. Because I’m from Indian country. In India, where many people are still new to digital life, this is especially dangerous for India. Like other countries, they are new to the digital era.
The problem
AI tools are becoming smarter by learning from human-created content.
Many people don’t know that their public data (image, text, art) can be used to train models.
Privacy policies are long, complicated, and rarely read, but consent should be simple.
Real Concerns in India, like other countries
Millions of beginner users are not aware of how their data is used.
Local languages, lack of awareness, and tech literacy make the problem worse.
Data from forums, public profiles, or apps can sometimes be scraped and used.
Why It Matters
People have a right to know and choose how their data is used.
Just because data is public doesn't mean it’s free to be used without permission.
The line between legal and ethical is thin, and we must protect human dignity in the digital age.
India, like other countries, needs more digital education and transparency laws.
I’m not against AI. I believe it has huge potential to improve lives. But without clear communication and respect for user data, we risk creating a system that grows by exploiting people who don’t even know it’s happening. It’s time to make technology more human and more honest.
Quote of the day
“If you’re not paying for the product, you are the product.”
Conclusion
- Yes, your public Data is used to train the model to improve their model. This is why you don’t share personal data like photos, any Important documents, or even text. Also, think before interacting with an AI model. Because Al knows you better than you knows*.*
