🔥 Why I Chose This Path

I'm not just learning random tech skills. I’ve chosen a clear pathCybersecurity & DevSecOps as my main career and FAANG/Big Tech roles as my backup.
My goal? To secure a high-paying job with real skills, not just theory. This is the roadmap, and Week 1 is done.

  • Learned essential commands: cd, ls, chmod, ps, kill, grep, etc.

  • Understood file permissions, processes, system structure, and user management.

  • Practiced using the terminal daily (Ubuntu).

✅ 2. Shell Scripting — Basics Done

  • Wrote simple bash scripts to automate basic tasks.

  • Practiced variables, loops, and conditionals in Bash.

  • Built my first automation script (will update on GitHub soon 😉).

✅ 3. SQL — Completed

  • Covered SQL basics: SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, GROUP BY, INSERT, UPDATE.

  • Practiced queries with sample datasets.

  • ❌ Not yet explored how SQL powers security analysis and threat automation — will cover this in future weeks.

✅ 4. Python — Completed

  • Covered basics of Python: variables, data types, loops, conditionals, functions.

  • Built small scripts and practiced simple automation.

  • Getting ready for FastAPI & Security Automation next.

  • Important for learning Web App Security later (XSS, injection, etc.).

  • Started working on Linked List concepts in C++.

  • Practiced insertions, deletions, and traversal problems.

  • Building logic step-by-step — key for interviews and systems work.

🧠 What I Learned

  • Focus beats randomness: Learning with a career goal in mind keeps me motivated.

  • Cybersecurity needs solid Linux & scripting knowledge — glad I started here.

  • Write it, do it, log it: Keeping this blog holds me accountable.

🎯 Week 2 Plan (April 8–14)

    • Complete CSS + JavaScript for my portfolio & frontend foundation.

      • Continue DSA — cover Stack and Queues.

      • Start Networking + OS Theory — protocols, ports, basics of SSH, firewalls.

      • 🔐 Intro to OWASP Top 10 — learn how real websites get hacked and protected.

      • ⚙️ Build my next automation script — security-focused and practical.
