Vampiro.Life — Build in Public: Entry One

Hey folks 👋
This is the first update in the journey of building Vampiro.Life, a passion project I’m developing on weekends and late nights while working full-time in Supabase Support. It’s a slow grind — no investors, no VC pressure — just me, a keyboard, and way too many dark, brooding ideas. 🦇
Why Vampiro.Life?
If you’ve ever wanted an AI Dungeon Master that can truly handle the more complex, adult-oriented narrative styles — think betrayal, murder, manipulation, and yeah, even sex — you’re not alone. Most AI storytelling tools still feel like they’re stuck in PG-13 land, and while that works for many, I’ve always craved something deeper and messier.
Vampiro.Life aims to bring that experience to life, especially for fans of Vampire: The Masquerade, where the lines between monster and human are always blurred.
What’s Been Done So Far
🧮 Pricing Schema
Right now, pricing is primarily based on GPU costs (gotta keep the AI blood flowing, right?). It’s not perfect and I’m super open to feedback — especially from folks who want to use this often but find the pricing a barrier.🌍 World Building
The world-building engine is alive — buggy, but breathing. You can already set up your own dark cities and story settings, and it’s just about enough to run a solid Vampire: The Masquerade session with the AI as your DM.🧛 LLM-Agent Interaction
This is the big one: the AI DM now understands how to be a vampire. Your character can now bite and harm humans — which sounds wild, but is crucial to delivering a believable vampire experience. This was a huge step for making the agent behave less like Clippy and more like the Prince of the City.
Roadmap Ahead
Here’s what’s next on the coffin-shaped whiteboard:
🚨 P1 — MVP Essentials
- Disciplines Action Button: This lets players actually use their vampire powers in-session. Mandatory for a working MVP.
- Skill Check Action Button: This brings in proper dice mechanics for actions — using Vampire: The Masquerade’s classic system for a more immersive feel.
⚔️ P3 — Next Layer of Gameplay
- Quests: Players can accept and progress through quests created by the DM.
- XP & Leveling Up: Actions will start to matter, and characters can grow (or fall).
- Battles: Combat mechanics beyond just narration.
🌐 P4 — World Building Revamp
- More intuitive region editing
- Better navigation to keep large cities and stories manageable
🎨 P5 — Map & Visuals
- Improve the background image
- Possibly swap out the map engine for something more flexible and visually engaging
That’s it for now. This is still early days, and I’ll be building slowly but steadily. If you’re into narrative-heavy RPGs, love the World of Darkness setting, or just want to follow the chaos of an indie project trying to do something weird and wonderful — welcome aboard.
Let me know what you’d want to see in Vampiro.Life, or just say hi. I’m always down to chat vampires.
