Uncluttered Calendar? Check. Minimalist Closet? Working on it.

So, minimalism is having a moment, right? Every other influencer seems to be recommending the next "Capsule Wardrobe" or sharing their KonMari sparking "joy" journey. And to be honest, it all sounds pretty appealing. Less stuff, less stress, more time for the things that actually matter - who doesn't want that?
But minimalist living isn't just about Marie Kondo-ing your socks and donating your entire wardrobe. It's about intentionality. It's about recognizing that less can absolutely be more.
Recently, I've been focusing on one area where minimalism has made a big difference: my calendar.
We're bombarded with commitments - work, social events, errands, "should-dos" that pile up faster than I can say "overwhelmed." But by intentionally decluttering my calendar, I've regained a sense of control and peace. Here's how:
1. I learned to say "no" (gasp!). I realized I don't have to say yes to everything. Sometimes, declining an invitation or politely pushing back on a request is the greatest gift I can give myself.
2. I block out time for the things that truly matter. Want to spend more time reading, exercising, or simply just being present? Make it a non-negotiable appointment on your calendar and treat it like any other important meeting.
3. I schedule in "me time." Even 15 minutes a day to unwind, meditate, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee without feeling rushed can make a world of difference.
4. I revisit and adjust regularly. Life changes, priorities shift, and that's okay. Take a look at your calendar every week or two and assess - is there anything you can eliminate or reschedule?
Minimalism isn't about perfection. It's a journey, a way of living more intentionally and thoughtfully.
