Peyush Bansal: The Man Who Made Eyewear Cool.

Peyush Bansal is the co- founder ( CEO) of the company Lenskart. Peyush Bansal born is 26 April, 1985, in new Delhi, India. Education life: Study of school Don Bosco School, in Delhi . Engineering at McGill university, in Canada ( electrical engineering). He worked part-time job at reception to manage his living life and family expenses along with his studies. Behind the reception desk, there was a computer lab where software coding was done. He became good friends with a senior there, who gave him a book on coding. Peyush started reading it and practicing, and later showed the results to that senior. Impressed, they offered him a full-time job. he was interested in computer science, he applied to Microsoft. He did not crack the interview the first time, but after a year the second time he is focused preparation, he got selected in Microsoft. He worked at Microsoft for one year, He used to think deeply about problems and solving there experience. After one year, he returned to India.

Origin of lenskart :

When Peyush Bansal returned to India after leaving Microsoft, his main focus was to solve real-life problems. His first Startup was a platform called SearchMyCampus.com, which helped college students with jobs, housing, books, internships, and more.

His mindset was Find a problem that affects people in their everyday lives.

That’s when he noticed that the eyewear industry in India was highly unorganized:

1. Lack of accessibility.

2. Lack of awareness.

3. Lack of quality.

4. Lack of unorganized.

That’s where the idea struck him .Why not make eyewear easy and available online?

In 2010, he started Lenskart, initially selling only contact lenses online. Gradually, they added eyeglasses and sunglasses too. Today, Lenskart has grown into a multi-billion dollar company.
