My Cybersecurity Journey

My path into cybersecurity began in high school when I joined the CyberPatriot competition. Tasked with defending systems from cyber threats, I quickly developed a passion for security and risk mitigation. Throughout my participation, I’ve grown from securing a simple Windows 10 system to tackling more complex network security challenges.

In addition to CyberPatriot, I’ve expanded my expertise through courses like Introduction to Cybersecurity by Cisco, learning everything from risk management to ethical hacking. Each experience has solidified my commitment to a career in cybersecurity.

Leadership & Mentorship

As co-captain of my CyberPatriot team, I led our group through tough challenges, focusing on strategy, system administration, and vulnerability mitigation. Mentoring newer team members has been especially rewarding, as I’ve seen them grow both technically and personally. This role has refined my leadership abilities, teaching me that effective leadership is about empowering others to succeed.

Looking Ahead

My short-term goal is to continue refining my technical skills in ethical hacking and penetration testing. Long-term, I aim to take on a leadership role in cybersecurity, guiding teams to innovate and protect against emerging threats.
