Escape Velocity: My Return Journey to Space

For several years now, I’ve been away from the space sector — not by choice, but due to circumstances that required stability. I moved into a non-technical role with an NGO, focusing on science education and teacher support. This work has been deeply satisfying. I’ve been creating resource material in Kannada for teachers of mathematics and science — and I remain optimistic about its long-term impact.
Yet, my heart has always been in space.
Even as my personal life evolved rapidly, I continued to learn. I spent time programming, dabbled in machine learning, and stayed curious. Only recently did it become clear that I want to return to the space industry. That realisation itself has been a long journey.
Now, I’m actively revisiting my fundamentals, especially in satellite systems. I’m writing, building, and sharing in public — one post at a time.
A quiet, but critical companion in this phase is AI. I use it extensively — to ideate, draft, clarify, and even hold myself accountable. It’s not just a tool for me. It’s more like a study partner that never tires.
This blog is where I plan to document my journey — not just the technical learnings, but the winding road that leads back to what I truly care about. It’s called Escape Velocity for a reason.
This is the beginning of my second orbit in space systems. More reflections and deep dives coming soon — stay tuned!
