Spin the EC2 instance to learn Linux on Windows and mac

  1. Search for EC2 on AWS.

  1. Click on launch instance.

  2. Write the name of the instance

  3. Select ubuntu Application and OS Images (Amazon Machine Image) with LTS version

  4. Use instance type t2.micro for free tier.

  5. Click on 'Create New Key Pair' and save it to your local system.

  1. Give a name of your choice. Set the key pair type to RSA. Use the .pem format for Linux and Mac, and .ppk for Windows.

  2. Use the default setting for the remaining.

  3. Click on the Launch instance as shown below.

  1. Click on the instance ID.

  1. Click on the connect button.

  1. Go to the SSH Client tab and follow the steps provided there.
