Hello, I'm Saulius — Welcome to The Secure Commit

Hey there 👋

I’m Saulius Eidukas, a Senior DevSecOps Engineer based in Stockholm, Sweden. After years of helping teams secure their pipelines, cloud environments, and development workflows — I decided it’s time to share more publicly.

This blog, ssec: The Secure Commit, is where I’ll write about what I know (and keep learning) around:

  • 🔒 DevSecOps best practices
  • ☁️ Cloud security (especially Azure)
  • 🛠️ Secure CI/CD pipeline design
  • 📦 Tooling like GitHub Advanced Security, Defender for Cloud, SonarQube, etc.
  • 👥 Building a security culture within teams — not just shipping tools

🎯 Why this blog?

Because secure development shouldn’t be an afterthought.
It should be the default.

Too often, security is seen as a blocker — my goal is to help shift that perception and show how security can empower developers, not slow them down. Whether it's automating risk reduction, embedding checks in CI/CD, or creating better onboarding/offboarding flows — we can build systems that are secure by design.

🔄 What to expect here

I’ll be sharing:

  • How-tos and guides from real projects
  • Playbooks and detections (starting with GitHub + Azure)
  • Thoughts on DevSecOps culture, mindset, and what works
  • Maybe the occasional rant or meme 🙃

🙏 Let’s connect

If any of this resonates with you, stick around.
You can also find me on LinkedIn or shoot me an email at s.eidukas@outlook.com.

Let’s make secure development a default, not an afterthought.

— Saulius
