Former Peruvian President Sentenced: Former Peruvian President Ollanta Humala has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for money laundering. His wife, Nadine Heredia, also received a 15-year sentence but has been granted asylum in Brazil.
Baisakhi Celebrated in Washington State Capitol: For the first time, Baisakhi was celebrated at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia. The event was hosted by the Consulate General of India in Seattle and attended by various state officials and members of the Sikh community.

RBI Enforcement Actions: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) took 79 enforcement actions against banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) in FY25, imposing a total of ₹33 crore in penalties. The highest penalty of ₹3.31 crore was imposed on J&K Bank.
