How I Saved Hours on Social Media with an AI Content Tool


As a freelancer working with e-commerce startups, I used to spend way too much time on social media. I’d write a blog post for a client like “5 Tips for E-commerce Growth” and then spend hours turning it into tweets, Instagram captions, and LinkedIn updates. It was exhausting, and I’m sharing how I fixed that because I know many of you are probably feeling the same struggle.
I’d often find myself working late into the evening, trying to craft the perfect tweet while my coffee went cold. I loved helping my clients grow their online presence, but the repetitive task of repurposing content was draining. Then, last year, I started experimenting with AI to automate the process, and it was a total game-changer.
I’d write a blog post or edit a YouTube video for a client, then use AI to pull out key points and turn them into social media posts. At first, I was skeptical could AI really capture my voice? But after some tweaking, it worked like a charm. A 1,000-word blog turned into 10 social media posts in minutes: tweets with hashtags, Instagram captions with emojis, and LinkedIn posts with stats. One of my favorites was a tweet that said, “Boost your e-commerce sales with this tip: use retargeting ads! 📈 #EcommerceTips,” which got tons of engagement.
Now, I can focus on what I love strategy and creativity while the AI handles the grunt work. I’ve even used it for YouTube videos, pulling out quotes to share on Twitter (X). It’s saved me so much time, especially on days when I’m juggling multiple deadlines.
Here’s how I made it work:
Choose High-Value Content: Start with a blog or video that already resonates with your audience like one with lots of comments or shares.
Let AI Extract Key Points: Use AI to highlight the best parts, like stats or actionable tips, and turn them into posts.
Add Your Personal Touch: Edit the AI output to match your style I always add a bit of humor or a question to spark engagement.
Schedule and Post: Use a free tool like Buffer to schedule your posts across platforms, so you’re not glued to your phone all day.
