Boost Your Job Hunt: How AI CV Prompts Landed Me Interviews Fast

Job hunting used to feel like a never-ending battle for me. As a freelancer, I was always looking for new gigs to grow my income, but I’d send out CVs and hear nothing back even when I knew I was a perfect fit. I’m sharing how I turned that around with AI prompts because I know many of you might be facing the same frustration.

I used to spend hours tweaking my CV for every job, trying to match the keywords in the description and make my experience sound impressive. It was exhausting, and I’d often wonder if I was doing it wrong. Then I heard about using ChatGPT to optimize CVs, and I decided to give it a try. I’d set up my laptop, play some calming music to keep me focused, and start experimenting with prompts.

One of the first prompts I used was, “Extract the top 5 skills from this job description.” I’d paste the job ad, and ChatGPT would give me a list like “project management” or “Python” that I could add to my CV if I had those skills. Another prompt I loved was, “Rewrite this bullet point to sound more impactful.” I’d input something like “Managed a team of 3,” and it would output, “Led a team of 3 to deliver projects on time, improving efficiency by 15%.” It made my CV sound so much stronger.

The results were incredible. Within a week of using AI-optimized CVs, I started getting responses. A startup reached out for an interview, and I landed a gig that paid better than I expected. It felt like I’d cracked a secret code AI helped me get noticed without spending hours on each application.

• Double-Check Everything: AI isn’t perfect always review its suggestions to make sure they sound like you.
