Scaling Agentic AI Together: What Squid and Nutanix Are Building

Every company wants to do more with AI. The challenge is moving from early piloting to something that creates business value. That is where many teams get stuck.

At Squid AI, we’ve seen this firsthand. That is why we teamed up with Nutanix to help companies build and deploy AI agents that do more than respond. These agents get real work done. With Squid AI’s agent platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI), teams can build momentum toward outcomes, in on-prem, cloud and hybrid environments.

NAI simplifies how companies deploy, manage, and run large language models. It supports airgapped environments and on-prem deployments, making it easier for highly regulated industries to bring advanced AI capabilities closer to where their data resides. That foundation taps into the power of agentic AI without compromising on compliance.

What Makes Agents Different

AI agents are not just another chatbot or interface layer. They are designed to automate tasks that slow teams down, whether that means pulling data from internal tools, updating records across platforms, or automating processes that span multiple data sources and systems.

Agents leverage embedding, safety, text generation and multimodal models and Nutanix Enterprise AI provides a curated and validated list of models of all of these types. Given the nature of agents and the capabilities, checks and balances are necessary to ensure proper use. NAI offers a centralized platform to power model endpoints for agents developed across different teams. It provides an observability dashboard allowing administrators to track metrics such as usage, latency and GPU utilization.

Squid AI gives teams the tools to create and deploy these agents at scale. With the Nutanix Cloud Platform and Nutanix Enterprise AI working behind the scenes, those agents run on infrastructure that is trusted by enterprise IT.

What We’ve Built

We’ve been working closely to integrate Squid AI’s agent orchestration engine with Nutanix Enterprise AI endpoints. With this setup, Squid agents can directly consume Nutanix-hosted LLMs via API, allowing businesses to:

  • Bring AI agents to existing company data while keeping it secure

  • Select from best-in-class models depending on the task at hand

  • Deploy efficiently using an on-premises-friendly platform for multi-agent orchestration

  • Gain insight into usage and latency metrics through audit logs

Why This Matters Now

There are plenty of AI tools on the market. What is often missing is a clear path to production. Agents that can complete tasks are helping forward-thinking organizations reduce complexity.

This collaboration focuses on reducing the adoption barrier by offering security, simplicity and efficiency of operation. With Nutanix providing the LLM infrastructure and Squid AI delivering the agent-building platform, companies gain a head start. They have what they need to move forward with confidence and deploy agents that create measurable results from day one.

What’s Next

We’ll be sharing more about this collaboration at the .Next conference, hosted by Nutanix. Squid AI will be onsite to continue the conversation around agentic AI and how enterprises are putting it into action. Stop by Booth A3 in the AI Pavilion and follow us on LinkedIn for updates.

Whether you're just beginning your agentic AI journey or looking to expand your business capabilities with greater flexibility, Squid AI and Nutanix are ready to support your next step.
