Starting My Journey Into IT Support and Cybersecurity

Hello everyone, and welcome to my first entry in Firewall Diaries with Franklin!

My name is Franklin Godknows, and I'm excited to officially begin my journey into the world of IT and Cybersecurity. Right now, I’m taking the Google IT Support Professional Certificate course on Coursera, which is to serve as a foundational step that’s helping me build strong technical skills.

Currently, I’m in Module 2, learning about computer networking:

•How the Internet really works

•What DNS, IP addresses, VPNs, and protocols mean

•How systems communicate securely

It's a whole new world, and I'm loving every bit of it!

My ultimate goal is to grow from IT Support into Cybersecurity, and later specialize in Blockchain Security, helping secure decentralized systems and smart contracts.
