BoldSign iOS App is Now Available on the App Store

We’re thrilled to share that the BoldSign iOS app has officially transitioned from beta to a stable release and is now available on the App Store! This marks a major milestone in our commitment to providing seamless and reliable electronic signature experience on mobile devices.

During the beta phase, the app was available through TestFlight for user feedback. Now that the app is stable and live on the App Store, we recommend switching to the official version if you have the TestFlight version installed. Switching ensures you receive the latest features and improvements.

The app is compatible with iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 14.0 or later. The UI is specifically designed and optimized for iPhones in portrait mode and iPads in both portrait and landscape modes.

Introduction to the BoldSign mobile app

The BoldSign mobile app is the perfect solution for performing eSignature tasks on the go. Whether you’re sending a document for signature, signing a signature request, or self-signing a document, the app ensures a fast, simple, and efficient eSignature workflow—anytime, anywhere.

The BoldSign mobile app complements our web application. Documents created in the BoldSign web app can be viewed and signed using the mobile app, and vice versa, ensuring a consistent experience. All form fields remain identical across both platforms in appearance, position, and values.

The mobile app allows you to upload documents (supports PDF, Word, Excel, and images), assign signature and data collection fields, and send documents for signature. Even complex documents can be configured effortlessly on mobile, as the field editor offers the best experience.

All electronic signatures captured with BoldSign comply with U.S. (ESIGN) and international (eIDAS) eSignature laws. The final document is digitally signed. BoldSign also records all major activities and provides you with an audit trail document for history.

BoldSign complies with SOC 2® Type 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS guidelines. BoldSign maintains robust security and data protection measures to safeguard your privacy.

Installing the BoldSign mobile app from the App Store

Follow these steps to install the BoldSign mobile app on your device:

Open the App Store and search for “ BoldSign ”.
Tap BoldSign to open its App Store page. Alternatively, open this link directly on your device: BoldSign App in the App Store

The BoldSign app is available on the Apple App Store.

Migrating from the TestFlight version to the App Store version

If you have the TestFlight version installed, uninstall it before installing the App Store version by following the steps above.

TestFlight updates for BoldSign will no longer be available, and the last build will expire soon. To continue receiving the latest features and updates without interruption, we recommend switching to the App Store version as soon as possible.

Logging in to your account

Open the BoldSign app after installation. If you’re new to BoldSign, tap Create Account to register.

Tap Login if you already have a BoldSign account. Enter your credentials or sign in using Apple, Google, or Microsoft login.

Now you’re ready to use the BoldSign app!

Understanding the app’s UI

We are committed to providing a simple, intuitive, and user-friendly interface. Instead of simply scaling the same layout across devices, we’ve designed separate layouts for iPhone and iPad to enhance usability and provide an optimized experience across all screen sizes.

On iPhone, the app is available in portrait mode.
On iPad, you can use the app in both portrait and landscape modes.

Once you logged in, the Dashboard screen appears.

Document counts for different statuses (Waiting for Me, Waiting for Others, Needs Attention, Revoked, Declined, and Completed) are shown as cards. Tap a card to view the documents.
Below the cards, you’ll find the monthly sent document count and the total documents sent from your account.
Applied filters are displayed for quick access.
Easily navigate to Documents, Templates, and Profile from the Dashboard.
To create a new document for signature, tap the +button at the bottom-center.
Tap the menu icon (top-left) to open the Navigation Drawer for quick access to other sections.

Subscriptions

The BoldSign iOS app supports in-app subscription purchases. By default, new users who sign up via the mobile app are enrolled in the Free Plan, which includes most core features. Paid plans offer additional benefits, such as higher document limits and advanced features like in-person signing.

Subscription information

Payment is charged to your Apple ID upon purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime via Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

The BoldSign mobile app is still in its early stages, and we have an exciting roadmap ahead! Several new features are planned for future releases to enhance functionality and improve your experience. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming:

Create template – Just like creating a document from scratch, you’ll soon be able to create and save reusable templates directly within the app, streamlining your workflow.
Push notifications – In addition to in-app notifications, push notifications will be introduced to keep you updated on document statuses and important events in real time.
SMS signature request – Send signature requests via SMS instead of email for faster access.
Biometric authentication – Enable a faster, more secure login with fingerprint or facial recognition support.
Offline document signing – To sign documents even without an internet connection, ensuring an uninterrupted workflow anytime, anywhere.
Print and sign – Allows your signers to print the document, sign it manually, then scan and upload it to collect physical signatures from signers.
