Start with Something Small

Whenever I begin something new—like starting a side project or preparing for a job change—I usually begin with a small action.
For example, when I start studying, I don’t force myself to study right away. I simply sit in the chair for a few days without doing anything else.
I believe building a habit is really important.
Just sitting in the chair eventually makes studying feel natural. Once I get used to simply sitting there, studying begins to follow naturally.
Some people disagree with me. One person said, “But I can start right away as soon as I make up my mind.”
I replied, “That’s awesome. Then just do it! But most people I’ve seen can’t do that so easily.”
How about you? Do you start with something small, or dive right in?
