What is DevOps?

DevOps engineering is a modern approach to software development that blends development (Dev) and operations (Ops) to improve collaboration between teams, increase software delivery speed, and ensure system reliability.
A DevOps engineer focuses on automating and streamlining every phase of the software development lifecycle from coding and building to testing, deploying, and monitoring. This includes using tools like Git for version control, Docker for containerization, Jenkins or GitHub Actions for CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment), and cloud platforms like AWS to manage scalable infrastructure.
DevOps isn’t just about tools t’s also a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and improvement. As technology evolves rapidly, DevOps engineering plays a critical role in helping companies remain efficient, competitive, and innovative.
