Day 1 of Creating a blog

Today marked the beginning of my project, and I spent a good portion of it diving into research. I went through multiple videos and tutorials, trying to find the most efficient and affordable setup for backend storage. Among the options I explored, Raspberry Pi stood out as an interesting and compact solution. The idea of using it as a low-power, always-on server for handling my backend storage needs really appealed to me. I configured the SD card, installed Raspberry Pi OS, and started setting it up for network access and remote management.

While Raspberry Pi was promising, I quickly realized that for blogging and sharing progress, I needed a more streamlined way to document everything. That’s when I came across Hashnode. After trying out a few platforms, Hashnode’s developer-friendly environment, ease of use, and clean writing interface made it an easy choice. I created my account, customized my blog, and got familiar with its features, especially the custom domain support and markdown-based writing.

By the end of the day, I had a working Raspberry Pi setup for backend experiments and a live blog ready on Hashnode. It felt good to lay the foundation — both technically and for documenting the process. I’m excited to keep going and see where this combination of hands-on hardware and online storytelling takes me.
