When one story ends, another begins.

As a football fan, this is one of the saddest—and also proudest—moments of my life. Watching my Barça lose (again) after a phenomenal performance in the UCL semi-final hurts. It’s sad because we lost the game despite producing one of the greatest comebacks in history, in the hostile environment of San Siro. But it’s also a proud moment because we played the most entertaining football throughout the season—with our very own La Masia kids. Even in the last game, we were brilliant on the ball.
The Barcelona vs Inter Milan match was so legendary that I don’t even know where to start. All I can say is: football is the best, and I’m happy to be a football fan. In the end, the better team goes to the final. All the kudos to Inter Milan and the project Simone Inzaghi has built. Respect.
Despite being a culer, I’ve always acknowledged why Real Madrid is the greatest club in history. They’ve won 15 UCL titles. They’re the best because they’ve beaten the best. Life is simple: “If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best.”
Following the 2024–25 season, I’ve learned a lot—not just about football tactics, but also about life. The season taught me that you can work your heart out for a long time, people may start believing in you again, you may have done everything right over and over—but it can all crumble within seconds. Barça was 3 minutes away from reaching the Munich final after 10 long, frustrating years. But it wasn’t enough. Nothing is written in this world—you have to write it yourself. And Inter did.
But here’s the bright side: Barça is back.
The Barça we remember from the MSN era. The one with the greatest midfield trio—Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets—who used to dictate games no matter the opponent. That revolutionary, inspiring team that played football in the most “footbolly” way is back with Lamine, Pedri, Cubarsí. Yes, it’s so back.
Another lesson: you don’t need massive resources. You don’t need pundits to back you. You don’t even need an experienced squad. All you need is mentality.
If we believe we can do it, we can. That’s the only truth.
Now, a few words of appreciation:
I never imagined that I’d see another player give me the same thrill, the same goosebumps that Messi once did. But this is life—it changes. And now, I believe Lamine Yamal has arrived. A 17-year-old kid, dribbling past the best full-backs, midfielders, defenders—changing and directing the game with his own feet. BASTONI himself said he’s never faced a player like Lamine in his life. That’s massive. Inzaghi said Lamine is the kind of player born once every 50 years. Oh my god. We are witnessing a generational talent emerge—and hopefully, shine for decades. I hope he reaches his full potential.
Then there’s Pedri—another masterclass. He dictates the tempo. He’s pure talent. The great Toni Kroos himself said Pedri is the best in the world in his position. I’m not exaggerating.
Hansi Flick—he’s the man who changed the entire dynamic of this team. People may criticize his high line or his game management, but all I want to say is:
Thank you, boss.
So, now what? I’m devastated. I’m tired. I’m clueless.
But life goes on. Dreams go on.
Just like all culers, and even the rival Inter fans, each of us has a story worth hearing. Stories never die—only parts of them fade.
Throughout my life, I’ve gone through many downs. But every time I fall, I rise stronger. I know my team will do the same. I’ve developed a new kind of never-give-up mindset watching these kids give everything for the badge. Maybe this wasn’t our year—but the next one might be. If not, no problem—the one after that. But we will rise. We will win. We will return to where we belong.
Visca el Barça. Visca Catalunya.
