From Zero to Superteam: How I Became a Web3 Founder in Under a Year

TL;DR
In 2024, I knew nothing about coding. Fast forward a year - I’ve shipped full-stack dApps, received grants from Solana-backed ecosystems, joined SuperteamIN, and mentored a national-level hackathon.
Here’s how it happened, and what I learned along the way.
📍Where It All Began
It was mid-2024. I had no tech background — just curiosity and a laptop. I started learning HTML and CSS through free online resources, building ugly websites with broken layouts. They didn’t look great, but they worked. That small sense of progress kept me going.
Soon, I picked up JavaScript. Then React. Then backend with Node.js.
I realized I wasn’t just learning to code — I was learning how to build things.
🧱 Joining 100xDevs: The Game-Changer
While looking for a more structured way to learn, I discovered @100xDevs by Kirat. I joined Cohort 2, and that’s when things got serious.
For the first time, I had a community and a schedule. Daily classes. Weekly projects. No shortcuts. Just consistent effort.
I started pushing projects to GitHub regularly. Todo apps, blogs, full-stack apps with authentication and databases. Slowly, things began to click.
🧪 Web3: The Rabbit Hole I Didn’t See Coming
Around December 2024, I discovered the world of blockchain development — and it pulled me in fast. I joined Cohort 3 of 100xDevs, this time focused on Solana and Ethereum.
Within 2 months, I completed 24 weeks of curriculum — building:
Solana wallets (client-side)
Token launchpads
Basic staking contracts
and more
It wasn’t always pretty, but it taught me resilience. Real Web3 is messy, fast-moving, and full of learning curves. But that’s also what makes it exciting.
💸 My First Grant (And How It Changed Everything)
While exploring earn.superteam.fun, I learned about the concept of ecosystem grants. I took a leap and applied for one with an early MVP of a decentralized uptime monitoring app — now called Decentralwatch.
To my surprise, the grant was approved within a few days.
Solana × CoinDCX backed it. That one email changed everything — it validated my efforts and gave me the confidence to go all in.
...and I’m just getting started.
🛡️ Joining SuperteamIN
After getting funded, I directly became a SuperteamIN Member, skipping the usual contributor phase. I connected with top builders like @paarugsethi, learned how the Web3 ecosystem actually works, and started participating in bounties and hackathons.
This network gave me distribution, mentorship, and energy.
Your community matters more than you think.
🎤 From Learner to Mentor: HackHazards 2025
Just after that, I was invited to mentor HackHazards '25, a national-level hackathon organized by Namespace Community.
I guided multiple teams building finance apps using Stellar and Web3 tooling. It was surreal — just a year ago, I was the one asking questions. Now, I was helping others ship under pressure.
🔧 Current Stack and Projects
Today, I’m building with:
Frontend: Next.js, React, Electron, React Native, TypeScript, TailwindCSS, ShadCN
Backend: Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, WebSockets
Blockchain: Solana, Ethereum, Wallet Adapter, Smart Contracts
Infra: Docker, AWS, EC2, Redis
AI/Other: OpenAI API, Zustand, Clerk, Turborepo
Some of my current projects:
Decentralwatch– A decentralized uptime monitoring platform with human and cloud validators
CrowdLens – A human-powered content voting engine for creators and ML training
🧠 What I Learned (and You Should Too)
Show up daily. Even if it feels small.
Build in public. Visibility brings opportunities.
Ask for feedback. And actually act on it.
Don’t wait for perfection. Just ship, then fix.
Be part of a community. 100xDevs and Superteam changed my path entirely.
🚀 What’s Next
I’m now learning Rust and diving deeper into systems programming.
Why? Because I want to build better infrastructure — stuff that doesn’t just look good, but works at scale.
I’m also applying for more grants, talking to potential cofounders, and slowly shaping the vision for a long-term Web3 company.
✨ Final Words
If you’re reading this as a beginner — know this:
You don’t need to be a genius. You just need to be relentless.
Start today. Build messy things.
And someday soon, you’ll look back and realize just how far you’ve come.
