The Cursed Coffee Cup — final part

The Brewmension slowly returned to normal. Jazz raccoons resumed their groovy riffs, and floating books flapped back to their shelves like sleepy pigeons.

Max stood, still gripping the glowing cup. The steam now curled gently upward in the shape of a question mark.

Sir Whiskerstein leapt onto the counter.
“Well done, Bean Keeper. You defeated Decaf. Restored balance. And didn’t spill a drop.”

Max exhaled. “So… now what? Do I stay here and fight more evil beverages?”

“Technically,” said the cat, “you could. Or... you could return home with the gift of caffeinated clarity and a lifetime supply of excellent coffee.”

Max raised an eyebrow. “That’s the reward?”

Sir Whiskerstein purred. “And the ability to talk to cats. Minor detail.”

The espresso machine chimed. A golden bean floated into the air and gently landed in Max’s palm. He blinked — and suddenly he was back in his kitchen.

Everything was the same… except the coffee cup. It still glowed faintly. And his cat, previously mute and judgy, looked up and said:

“Well, that was fun. Make me a cappuccino, hero.”

From that day on, Max brewed perfect coffee every time. His energy was unmatched. His to-do lists wept in fear. And yes — he and his cat occasionally saved the world… one cup at a time.

The End.
