Hey family,

Welcome to our first check-in on Building Your Empire.

Whether you’re trying to land your first role, pivot into a new space, or just tired of feeling stuck — you’re not alone.

To truly recognize the potential of your abilities, you’d have go deep within yourself and uncover the strongest pillars holding you up

Let’s learn how to build your empire, but first, we need to talk about the mindset you’re building it with.

⚠️ Reality Check ⚠️

Reality Check - by Vee

Let’s start with this. The job market today is brutal.
Not just in terms of competition, but mentally, emotionally, and socially.

Many people are stuck in roles far beneath their abilities simply because they needed something now. Others chase “growth” but feel stagnant because the support and vision are missing. And some keep getting ghosted, not because they lack potential, but because the system isn’t ‘built’ to see them anymore.

TBVH It’s filled with very high expectations, unpredictable changes, and sometimes, even silence after interviews you killed.

It wears you down — not just your CV, but your confidence.

You start to question your worth…
You settle…
You forget your own why

Some of us are still hunting for our first big break, while others are trying to climb and grow in environments that barely let them breathe.

But guess what brings us all together?
The desire to make something better for ourselves, and the rush to take full advantage of career development opportunities that feel out of reach.

But if you’re going to build an empire — a meaningful career — it can’t be on borrowed timelines or shaky self-worth. You need to ground yourself first. Know who you are, what you carry, and what you’re willing to fight for.

That’s how you stop floating and start building

“So how do I start building my empire?”

You begin with these 3 questions. Let me break it down:

1. “What Can I Do?”

This is where it begins. If you don’t know what you’re capable of, how can you ever offer value?

While you think about a way to answer that - pay attention to this…

Your value increases the faster and better you respond to problems people need help with. And the moment you delay? That value starts reducing.

Let’s do a recap on ‘Types of Skills’ to serve as a reminder 😉

Soft Skills are mostly things life has already taught you:

  • Communication (yes, even those WhatsApp group fights count)

  • Managing expectations (juggling rent, bills, family, and job apps👀?)

  • Solving problems daily just to stay afloat

Hard Skills are what you can train to be better at like:

  • Crafts (shoe making, cooking, baking…)

  • Talents (singing, dancing…)

  • Tech skills (programing, testing software products, data cleaning,…)

  • Digital tools (social media for sales and marketing, automating workflows,…)

All these come together to shape how you solve real problems. That’s what makes you valuable.

Knowing this helps you decide where to plug in — with purpose.

Now, let’s do a quick pulse check on your hard skills, shall we?

Hard Skill Categories

  • Non-technical impact

  • Technical impact

  • Digital impact

🌚 Where do think you fall right now?

2. “Where Do You Want to Be?”

Let’s talk passion, dreams, and goals. You might not have it all figured out, and that's okay. But if you’ve ever felt like “I know I’m made for more,” — listen to that voice.

That means you’re already tuned in to your potential.

Think of your passion as your engine.
It will keep moving as long as there’s fuel — which is your purpose.

So, if you’re asking yourself “what’s next?” — check how much gas you’ve got and whether you’re heading in the right direction.

3. “How Can I Get To My Goal?”

That depends on you:

  • Your style of delivery

  • Your creative expression

  • And most importantly—your JOY.

It’s 2025. And the more time we spend, the more Visibility = Your Effort. SO LET YOUR CURRENT SKILLS SPEAK.

The way you show up can make you feel vulnerable — like you’re putting yourself out there just to get ignored, misunderstood, or boxed into cliques. But when your visibility aligns with your actual voice and value, it becomes less draining… and more empowering. Knowing your style of visibility isn’t just branding at this point, it’s survival.

Your Style of Visibility could be any of these:

  • Builder in Public: You share your steps, your mess, your progress.

  • Themed Storyteller: You reflect publicly on events, lessons, and progress.

  • Reward-Driven: You post results and wins to stay motivated and get that hype.

  • Silent Sniper: You let your portfolio speak for you.

  • Unhinged Impact Maker: You shake systems. Loud. Smart. Effective.

Pick your blend and use it to enhance your authenticity, not erase it.

So What Now?

Here’s the real deal…

It doesn’t matter who figured it out before you.

What should matter to YOU is being an edition of what success should look like, feel like and move like 🙌🏾

While improving as you grow… Use the journey of ‘Who you aspire to be’ as a guide, not a script.

Your empire is rooted in:

  • Your adaptability

  • Your expression

  • Your authenticity

And the crazy part? You already have the raw materials (Your Skills). Put them to work!

In Conclusion 💼

To really build your empire, you need to already know:

  1. What You Can Do

  2. Where You Want To Be

  3. How You Can Get To Your Career Goal?

While utilizing your resources, move accordingly so that you don’t feel burnout or unsatisfied with each progress you end up making.

Having an ‘Empire’ protects your self-confidence and how you turn up. Because you own your process, You get to choose the right people for your growth.

This is YOUR Empire, and you get to build it YOUR OWN WAY.
