Honorary Professor of Practice Awarded to Dr. Boumédiène Benyahia

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) and Kennedy University are pleased to announce the joint conferral of the Honorary Professor of Practice (HPoP) to Dr. Boumédiène Benyahia, in recognition of his extensive expertise and significant contributions in the fields of Islam in Europe, peace, interfaith dialogue, extremism, human rights, spirituality, and ethics.

Dr. Benyahia is an expert observer for the NGO FoRB Geneva, an international associate expert with UNCR University & CRN, and a scientific expert with the Groupe de Réflexion de la GMP. His work focuses on the adaptation of Muslim religious discourse in France. He is also a member expert in the European Project PARTES, a member of the Jury for the “Prix Mare Nostrum 2024,” a member expert facilitator for the Framework “Faith for Rights, HCDH,” and a member expert in the EU Project IN2PREV.

As the founder of the Institut de la Parole en ligne and an Ambassador for Peace with the Universal Peace Federation, Dr. Benyahia has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering peace, human rights, and interfaith understanding. His previous role as Secretary-General of the Coordination of Islamic Organizations in Switzerland and his current position as an external expert at the University of Algiers II, Laboratory Society and Religion, highlight his deep engagement with both academic and community initiatives.

Dr. Benyahia’s expertise encompasses a wide range of areas, including peace, human rights, diplomacy and religion, the fabric of violence, counter-discourse, religious minorities, ethics, spiritual diplomacy, and the relationship between Islam, Muslims, and Europe. His skills include global expertise and development, peace administration strategies, pedagogical programming, and the ability to provide expert reports to religious and public institutions.

With fluency in French, English, and Arabic, Dr. Benyahia is well-equipped to contribute to international dialogues and initiatives. QAHE and Kennedy University are honored to recognize his outstanding achievements and look forward to his contributions as an Honorary Professor of Practice.
