Cloud Diaries #0 - The Journey Ascends

Hello, I am Racheal Joshua! ✨
This is Cloud Diaries — a soft-spoken, might be awkward, but occasionally funny little corner where I document my flight learning cloud computing.
I recently started learning the AWS Cloud Practitioner course at ALX. Now, ALX is a cool academy to learn different courses, mostly tech. You do hard things with an even cooler and supportive community and mentors that would lead to a productive career.
A bit late because I already started this course three weeks ago, but I thought instead of letting the new information get lost in random notes, “Why not write it out?“
I am learning out loud to hold myself accountable, but really, I just want to have a cool cloud diary in my arsenal because why not?
What You Will Find Here
Weekly summaries of what I have learned
A mix of personal growth and quiet “aha“ moments
Honest take from someone who is still figuring things out about the cloud
Me trying to untangle tech concepts in plain language (at one point, I took a nap from all the new words I learned 😭)
A sprinkle of jokes because that’s how I think
Why?
To remember what I am learning, why I started this learning journey, and to stay consistent.
Also, to help someone else googling “what is cloud computing“ or threatening Chatgpt to break down the meaning like it is explaining to a ten-year-old kid (no shame— been there, still is). I genuinely hope this helps in your journey, if it is even just a little.
Call me “Sensei”! I am kidding, I am just a humble student.
Let’s jump into the clouds together, shall we?
