Future Leaders: Leos Level Up Skills at Organizational Management Training

Leo Club of Kathmandu Himalayas Patan members joined fellow Cluster-1 Leos for a high-impact Training on Organizational Management at Sital Chautari in New Baneshwor. The January 11th event equipped participants with essential leadership tools while strengthening the Leo network across clubs.
Skills for Service and Beyond
The comprehensive training covered crucial competencies:
- Leadership techniques for motivating volunteer teams
- Communication strategies for effective club operations
- Team building exercises to strengthen Leo collaboration
- Goal setting and achievement frameworks for service projects
Hosted at SAIM College rather than the originally planned Sital Chautari venue, the program provided professional-level training in a proper academic environment.
Friendly Competition Boosts Engagement
The training featured clever incentives to maximize participation:
- Awards for clubs with highest registration numbers
- Special recognition for female participation
- Prizes for early registration and active engagement
These friendly competitions between clubs not only boosted attendance but created energy throughout the training sessions.
"What made this training special was seeing Leos from different clubs sharing their challenges and solutions," noted one participant. "We're all working toward the same goals, just in different communities."
Investment in Leo Infrastructure
By focusing on organizational management, Cluster-1 CLLI (Club Leadership & Leadership Institute) demonstrated commitment to strengthening the foundation that makes all Leo service possible. The skills developed will enhance every future service project these Leos undertake.
With certificates, materials, and refreshments provided, participants experienced a professional development opportunity that will serve them in their Leo roles and beyond—a true investment in both individual and organizational growth.

Leo Club of Kathmandu Himalayas Patan
Leo Club of Kathmandu Himalayas Patan (LCKHP), established in 1974, is Nepal's oldest Leo Club with a proud 50-year legacy of youth-led community service. As part of Lions Clubs International's global network, we empower young leaders aged 16-30 to create positive change through volunteering. Our diverse projects include blood donation camps, environmental clean-ups, health awareness campaigns, orphanage support, old age home visits, disaster relief, educational initiatives, and skill development workshops. Throughout our history, we've directly impacted thousands of lives across Kathmandu Valley and beyond. What sets LCKHP apart is our commitment to developing leadership skills among youth while addressing pressing community needs. Each project offers members hands-on experience in project management, teamwork, communication, and social responsibility. Our members gain valuable skills while making tangible differences in their communities. Beyond local efforts, we actively participate in regional and international Leo initiatives, collaborating with other clubs to amplify our impact. Our members represent Nepal's bright future—compassionate, skilled young professionals committed to service and leadership. This blog documents our journey, showcases our members' experiences, and shares the stories of communities we serve. Through these narratives, we hope to inspire more young people to embrace volunteering, demonstrate the power of youth-led initiatives, and highlight the positive transformation happening in Nepal through service. Join us in our mission to create meaningful change through leadership, experience, and opportunity—the core values that define the Leo spirit. #YouthLeadership #CommunityService #NepalVolunteers #LeoClub #SocialImpact
