If you're using BullX to snipe meme coins on Solana, you’ve probably seen settings like PRIO, bribe, MEV mode, or slippage but what do they actually mean?
This post breaks it all down. Whether you're scalping Boop launches or swinging low-caps, here’s how to set up BullX like a pro so you don’t get rekt on fees, speed, or stealth.
1. BullX’s Built-In Fee (1%)
Every trade on BullX has a 1% bot fee, applied automatically.
Example – Buying:
You enter a trade with 5 SOL. BullX skims 0.05 SOL (1%) as the fee. You’re left with 4.95 SOL entering the liquidity pool.
Example – Selling:
If you’re selling tokens worth 1 SOL, BullX takes 0.01 SOL. You keep 0.99 SOL.
Simple math but if you're scalping thin moves, that 1% can be a real consideration.
2. Protocol-Level Fees (Not BullX, Still Hits You)
Even though BullX only takes 1%, the DEX or platform itself might also charge a cut. These are protocol-level fees.
Platform | Buy Fee | Sell Fee |
Pump.fun | 1% | 1% |
Raydium | ~0.25% | ~0.25% |
Others | Varies (up to 5%) |
Always check the token’s pool settings. Some meme coins come with baked-in fees on both entry and exit. That’s not BullX—it’s the coin’s contract or LP setup.
3. PRIO Fee (Priority Gas Tip)
PRIO is a tip to the Solana network that helps your transaction get picked up faster by validators—especially useful during congested launches.
Default: 0.01 SOL
Rapid Preset: Decent speed for normal trading
Insane Preset: Burns more, but often gets you in ahead of the pack
Custom: Set your own value
If your transaction is pending or lagging, increase PRIO. If the chain’s calm, you can go cheaper.
4. Bribes (Jito-Only / MEV Mode)
Bribes are an extra incentive for Jito validators, especially when you use MEV-only mode. They aren’t required, but without one, your transaction may be ignored when routing only through Jito.
Minimum for Jito: 0.002 SOL
Recommended during hype launches: 0.01–0.05 SOL
Overkill: More than 0.05 rarely makes a difference (unless chain is nuked)
Pro tip: No bribe = no Jito priority in MEV-only mode. You’ll get dropped or stuck.
5. MEV-Only Mode: Use with Caution
MEV-Only Mode means your trade is sent only to Jito validators (not broadcasted to the full network). That has pros and cons:
Mode | Behavior |
Enabled | Jito-only routing (safer from sandwiching) |
Disabled | Sent to entire validator set (less stealth) |
Only use MEV-Only mode with a 0.002+ SOL bribe—otherwise, your transaction might get ignored. This mode is clutch for stealthy snipes or protection in volatile moments.
6. BDNs & SWQoS: What’s Under the Hood
BullX uses advanced routing infrastructure—Block Distribution Networks (BDNs) and SWQoS (Solana-wide Quality of Service)—to make sure your trade hits globally, fast.
Here’s how it works:
HyperRouter: BullX’s in-house turbo engine
Fallbacks: BloxRoute, NextBlock, and others
Bribe 0.002+ SOL? Full edge coverage (Tokyo, EU, US relays)
No bribe? Still routes via fallback paths, just not prioritized
TLDR: Want global execution speed? Bribe just 0.002+ SOL, and you’re covered.
7. Slippage Settings: Set Right or Regret Later
Slippage determines how much price movement you’ll tolerate when executing a trade.
Slippage 500%? You’ll accept buying at 5x the pool price
Slippage 10%? Tighter control—less chance of getting front-run or nuked
Snipers usually go high (100–1000%) to guarantee fills
Manual trades can go tighter (5–20%)
Set slippage based on your trading style, not emotion.
8. My Default Settings (Works Well Under Stress)
Here’s what I personally use when trading high-volatility Solana tokens:
PRIO: 0.05 SOL
Bribe: 0.05 SOL
MEV Mode: Enabled
Slippage: 500%
This gets you fast fills in congested markets. If things are quiet, you can scale these back to save a bit.
9. Bonus: Testing Your Settings
Not sure if your transaction setup is working? Run test snipes on low-volume coins before going heavy. Try this:
0.1 SOL buys
Vary bribe (0.002, 0.01, 0.05)
Watch confirmation time and success in Solscan
Tweak based on fill speed and failure rate.
TLDR Cheatsheet
BullX charges 1% per trade, always.
DEXes like Pump.fun add their own fees—stack those in.
PRIO is your gas tip—raise it during congestion.
Bribes are for MEV mode—use 0.002 SOL+ or get ignored.
MEV-only mode = stealth + speed, but only if configured right.
Slippage = how loose you’re willing to play on price.
Router tech (BDNs) needs a small bribe to unlock full power.
