Logitech G613 Review — 4 Years In, Still the One I Reach For

Look, I’ve used a lot of keyboards. Some loud, some flashy, some that were basically memes. But the Logitech G613? It’s the one I keep coming back to.

Bought it new about four years ago. It’s not pretty, it’s not backlit, and nobody’s flexing it in a battlestation photo — but it’s been rock solid for gaming, work, and flipping between homelab machines without skipping a beat.

What I Use It For

  • Gaming: Lightspeed wireless is fast enough for anything short of pro competition.

  • Work: Long typing sessions, no wrist pain, no nonsense.

  • Homelab: I bounce between systems constantly, and the G613’s Bluetooth/Lightspeed toggle is gold.

What Still Works (and Why That Matters)

  • Keys feel great. Not loud, not mushy. They just… work. Good tactile feedback without annoying everyone in the room.

  • Battery life is comical. I think I’ve changed the AAs once or twice. It just runs.

  • No input lag on Lightspeed. Bluetooth takes a couple seconds to wake up, but that’s Bluetooth being Bluetooth.

  • Feels durable. Not flexy, not plasticky. It’s built like a tank, but not stupid heavy.

What Kinda Sucks

  • No backlight. If you type in the dark, it’s not for you.

  • Takes up space. This isn’t some compact 65% board. It’s wide, and it owns that.

  • Bluetooth can lag a bit waking up. Again, not a G613 thing — that’s just what happens with most Bluetooth gear.

Should You Buy One in 2025?

Honestly? Yes — if you can find it under $60, grab it. Especially used.

It’s one of those keyboards that doesn’t get hyped up, but does everything right. No RGB, no weird software, no flaky connection stuff. Just solid wireless mechanical performance that lasts.

TL;DR

Still love it. Still use it. Still recommend it. If you’re switching between systems, working long hours, or just want a mechanical board that’s not screaming for attention — the G613 is worth grabbing.
