How to Set Up an AI Lab in Your School in 2025: A Practical Guide

We all want our kids to explore more than what they study in their textbooks. Even schools desire the same. With the kind of tech kids today are growing up with, they really need a space around that allows them to build, break, and learn. At Blix, we have set up more than 20 STEM labs across schools and institutions, and the labs do just that.
Apart from science and maths concepts, the space even allows kids to figure out how AI and ML actually work. Let's get into the lines to understand more!
Why AI in STEM Lab?
When someone comes up with the idea of an “AI lab,” the first thought is usually something complicated. But here’s the thing: AI is a lot simpler. One should know the trick. Technically, the learning for younger minds should start with play, then trial, and then more logic.
AI is nowhere a topic that can be dropped and learned in one day. It is a learning layer they build up, obviously, in a space where they are already learning a lot.
With our STEM and AI lab, AI education for students doesn't merely start with code. They first train a model. They then learn to create hardware-based projects that work with ML concepts. Next, they control their robots through HTML web page. That's how they learn AI, step by step.
What is included in the Blix STEM and AI lab setup?
Our lab comes with everything a school would need. We don't overstuff the learning; we keep it simple, yet everything is covered in the STEM and AI curriculum for schools we offer.
Our STEM and AI lab is a space that covers everything, starting from robotics, to electronics, sensors, along AIML.
Our curriculum covers Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning in the syllabus naturally.
There are extension sets & accessories offered (when it comes to AI and ML, boffin set comes with ESP board, IR sensor and more) so that students can scale projects anytime (they can tinker around and build robots that are new to everyone, even to us)
Add-on Kits for advanced tasks.
Student-to-kit ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. It completely depends on what your school wants.
And yes, this is the same lab that covers robotics curriculum. There are a lot of chapters on AI and ML for beginners to advanced levels. They can learn to train a model to detect objects. Or probably make a smart fan that knows when to turn off, isn't that exciting much?
How to set up a STEM and AI lab?
We’ve worked with multiple schools to date to set up STEM, AI, and robotics labs. The process is very simple:
You first have to define your goal. Build an objective, and tell us. It can be anything like you want your students to explore coding, AI, robotics, or all of it
Place the order, or talk to our experts, and we will help you out with the understanding of the whole lab setup.
Once the delivery is done, we will train your teachers. We will even help with the placement of teachers to make sure that you can move ahead with the STEM and AI lab quickly.
We will do yearly audits of the STEM and AI lab. We will fix what needs fixing and also replace the ones that have to be replaced.
And yes, every component comes with a 1-year warranty.
What do kids learn in the STEM and AI lab?
AI in education has always been a hot topic. But when we do AI lab setups for schools, we make the way easier for them. The curriculum is structured in a way that students can:
Control electronics by sending information remotely
Make an AI traffic signal that changes based on the crowd
Understand webcam-based sound recognition
Use sensors to design an automated toll gate
Make a mobile application and build a voice-controlled car.
By the time they’re in higher grades, they’re already using block coding. They are aware of Python and other AI training tools.
So, when you think about setting up an AI lab, don’t think about a separate space filled with screens. Think about a working STEM lab. A place where kids study and build concepts. That's the kind of setup we do at Blix. Are you ready to set up one AI lab in your school? Let's join forces now!
