Jim Jones grew up between Harlem and the Bronx, where he began his journey by rapping on street corners with a determination reflected in his eyes to turn his big dreams into reality.

His first big break came in 2002, when he joined his childhood friend Cam’ron to support The Diplomats on their early tours. He gained precious knowledge of how to rock the stage and built a real fan base.

The Diplomats’ early tour gave him incredible insights, and he got the momentum to launch his solo career in 2004 with On My Way to Church.

But in 2006, with the release of Hustler’s P.O.M.E. and the smash hit “We Fly High,” he broke through, soaring to №5 on the Billboard Hot 100 by early 2007.
