Blender - Day 135: Making Desk Scene

Did:

  • Learned how to use wave texture with UV map to create slanted lamp shade which was really fun!

Mistakes:

  • I think I had around 9mil triangles and I need to use less subdivision but still achieve the clay feel. Thank goodness for QuadRemesh :)

Learned:

  • Using Object and Ray Visibility is very useful when you want an object to cast a shadow or not show up in camera but affect overall scene!

  • Bending wave texture through UV to achieve a slanted wave texture. Weird method but gives more control!
