Day 88 — A Month of Reflection, Realignment, and Resilience

It’s been 21 days since my last post on Day 67 (May 3rd), and I’ll be honest — the past few weeks have been neutral, yet strangely transformative.

🧭 A Sudden Shift – Enter Android

Somewhere mid-month, I took a rather spontaneous turn toward Android development. It wasn’t planned, but a referral opportunity for an Android SDK Developer role came up — and that meant one thing: back to Jetpack Compose and brushing up on Android basics.

For almost two weeks, I dove deep. I revisited layouts, components, state handling, navigation — everything from scratch. Things went really well in the interview stages — until the final moment. A subtle mistake cost me the role. Disappointing, yes. But also a reminder: I can pivot fast, learn fast, and adapt.

☁️ Meanwhile on the DevOps Front

While things were relatively quiet on the DevOps side, one long-standing application finally came back to life. I was called in for an in-person discussion with the founders — a hopeful sign that things may be moving in the right direction. And towards the very end of the month, I got a DevOps offer. A good one. That too, without much noise.

🧠 Mental Reset – Thanks to the Gym

Early this month, I was still shaking off the aftereffects of a slow April. I kept my gym sessions going — not for gains, but as a distraction. Just warmups, treadmill, cycling, and stretches. Surprisingly, it worked. That mild physical activity gave my mind just enough space to breathe.

By mid-month, I pushed a little harder — dumbbells, leg press, chest press, and more. From struggling to lift 2-3 kg to now comfortably handling 5-7.5 kg — that’s progress I’m proud of.

🎯 This Month in a Nutshell

  • 📉 DevOps: Quiet but ending on a high.

  • 🤖 Android: A sharp pivot, fast learning, a near-miss.

  • 🧘‍♂️ Health: A physical and mental comeback.

  • 💼 Opportunities: Two strong leads. One converted.

🔮 Looking Ahead

This month wasn’t about speed, it was about survival and alignment. As June approaches, I’m optimistic — more structured in mind, healthier in body, and just a little more ready for whatever comes next.

Here’s to better months, better breaks, and better breakthroughs. 🚀
