TryHackMe Log #1 – Why Did It Say I'm a Red Teamer?

I’m just someone who only recently found out what cyber security is.
I don’t know anything about computers — I’ve never even used Excel formulas.
But I got interested, so I started learning through TryHackMe.
Red Team and Blue Team
Red Team:
It starts with a single sentence — “To hack like a hacker, you need to think like one!”
Then it jumps straight into the hands-on exercise.
Blue Team:
There’s a lot more explanation before the exercise begins.
As for the Red Team exercise, it showed a pretty straightforward process:
go through the environment once, find what’s vulnerable, and exploit it.
(Of course, if a real website were this easy to break into, it’d probably be a disaster 😅)
The Blue Team exercise took a bit more effort.
The answer didn’t show up right away, so I had to go back and forth between screens several times to figure it out.
Career Test
At the end, there was a career overview section in cyber security.
At the bottom, there was some kind of test — maybe an aptitude test?
Anyway, I took it, and the result said I’m a Red Teamer.
That actually surprised me.
If I had to guess, I thought my background and current job were more aligned with the Blue Team side —
I majored in nursing, and I currently work in quality control.
💭 Side Note
Our company usually turns on the air conditioning in the afternoon.
I don’t find it that hot, but I guess my team leader does.
Today was... just another round of repeating the same tasks.
It was just a bit more backed up than usual! It’s the start of a new week.
Some other departments probably think I’m obsessed with lot numbers.
But hey, mistakes have to be caught.
It’s not like there’s just one or two errors 😅
