Is It Safe To Sleep With A Wig On?

I have actually tried this question myself several times, and the result made me completely understand: sleeping with a wig is not an ideal choice.
When I first started wearing a glueless wig, I was so tired from working overtime that I fell asleep with the wig on. When I woke up the next morning, I found that the wig was not only in the wrong position, but my scalp had become a little sensitive, and my hair had become frizzy due to friction. Later, I realized that this behavior is not only not good for scalp health, but also damages the wig.
Why is it Unsafe To Sleep With A Wig?
Scalp health risks
No matter how good the breathability of a wig is, it cannot completely replace the free breathing of natural hair. Wearing a wig at night will cause the scalp to be stuffy, and it may breed bacteria after sweating, which will cause itching and even inflammation of the scalp over a long period of time.
Damage to the wig
Turning over and pillow friction during sleep will make the wig tangled and frizzy, especially long-haired buss down wigs are more susceptible to damage, shortening their service life.
Reduced wearing comfort
Even if the wig is fixed firmly, wearing it for a long time will cause discomfort to the scalp and head, which may affect the quality of sleep.
