Day 1: Reflections - Returning to the Roots

Today marked a refreshing step back into the fundamentals of JavaScript. I revisited the basics—declaring variables and understanding naming conventions. It’s amazing how much clarity comes from re-learning the building blocks. I also explored primitive data types like strings, practiced some concatenation, and experimented with template literals. It reminded me that no matter how far along we go, the basics always stay relevant.

Aside from learning, I made progress on the Learning Management System (LMS) I’m building using the MERN stack. Every feature added feels like a step forward, and I’m beginning to enjoy how the pieces are slowly fitting together.

One highlight of the day was catching up with Yedima, a fellow developer friend. These spontaneous meetups always bring fresh energy and perspective.

To wrap up the day, I cleared out some emails, checked in on my social media, and replied to a few messages. It felt good to stay connected and organized.

Small steps. Consistent progress. Onward.
