Microsoft Integration, Azure, BAPI, Office 365 and much more Stencils Pack it’s a Visio package that contains fully resizable Visio shapes (symbols/icons) that will help you to visually represent On-premise, Cloud or Hybrid Integration and Enterprise architectures scenarios (BizTalk Server, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hub…), solutions diagrams and features or systems that use Microsoft Azure and related cloud and on-premises technologies in Visio 2016/2013:

That you can use and resize without losing quality, in particular, the new shapes.

There are still many points that could be improved as well as adding new stencil, but it is a good start.

You can use Visio for the web to build Azure diagrams for network topologies, virtual machine configurations, operations, and more. These provide a means of clearly documenting the existing infrastructure for clarity and help visualize various service interactions. For example, you can build a diagram showing how to configure infrastructure for development and testing of a standard PaaS-style system that leverages Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cache Redis and Application insights service. By sharing diagrams like this among your team, everyone is on the same page for executing concepts. Detailed Azure diagrams can also serve as roadmaps for scaling and managing your Azure network as it grows with your business.

There are 18 shape sets in all, including Azure AI and Machine Learning, Azure App Services, Azure Compute, Azure Containers, Azure Databases, Azure General, Azure IoT, Azure Identity, Azure Integration, Azure Management & Governance, Azure Analytics, Azure Migrate, Azure Networking, Azure Security, Azure Storage, Azure Other, and Microsoft Product Icons.

With over twenty stencils and hundreds of shapes, the Azure Diagrams template in Visio gives you everything you need to create Azure diagrams for your specific needs. Design web apps, network topologies, Azure solutions, architectural diagrams, virtual machine configurations, operations, and much more.

Get started with Azure diagrams

The Azure diagrams template can be accessed in the Visio desktop app or on Visio for the web with a Visio Plan 1 or Visio Plan 2 subscription. Only with Visio Plan 2, you can install and use the Visio desktop app. Not sure what license you have? You can check what version you have.

Note: Azure diagram templates were renamed from Cloud and Enterprise templates in the subscription versions of Visio. See the section Azure diagram templates for Visio 2019, 2016, and older versions below for more info on how to get these diagrams if you’re not subscribed to Visio.

Open an Azure Diagram template

  • Select File > New > Templates > Network > Azure Diagrams.

Work with sample diagrams

Use the many sample diagrams in the Azure solution architectures site to help you decide what you want to do and model your designs.

Azure diagram templates for Visio 2019, 2016, and older versions

If you have a non-subscription or older version of Visio, there are no Azure diagram (or Cloud and Enterprise) templates available. However, you can download Azure architecture icons, which enables you to create your own Azure diagrams with symbols and icons to represent your cloud system.
