Game Start! The project begins.

Today was the next first few steps in developing the app I was collaborating with a team on a long time ago, about half a year at this point. It’s primarily be a ChatGPT driven start, since my actual experience with a full-stack project is essentially nil. I’m at the point now where I’ve been able to get a very barebones backend and frontend set up. A decent amount of time today was actually a skill I have an abundance of effort with, data engineering, as I needed to reformat the JSON with all the unit data we have to simple be more optimal. It also, frankly, needed to be altered to fit my own personal programming sanity. It may be wise to keep the notebook I used to alter the JSON on hand to fix up any future data, in case the individual who did the data entry doesn’t want to change their own personal methods.
I’ve never kept a developer blog. I don’t like having a digital footprint, but once again, at the behest of ChatGPT, I see the benefit in keeping up with a blog. The vast majority of my personal experiences are lost when I don’t journal, so this may be the best to keep some form of log of all the work that’s been done so far. It’s only been a day or two of development, as I seem to have gained some unknown motivation for developing this project. I’m hoping to keep up with it. I have not encountered much in terms of resistance with the project, as it’s just starting and mostly foundational work, yet to reach a point where I would need to hammer away at some logical implementation yet. I’m hoping that it’s all smooth sailing, but I also understand such instances simply don’t happen. The next hope, I suppose, is that any resistance that is met can be handled in a prompt and efficient manner.
