Virat Kohli’s troubles increased, after the RCB incident, now an FIR has been filed, a statement has come from the police

RCB has recently won the IPL 2025 title.

So far 11 people have lost their lives and many others are injured in the tragic stampede incident that took place outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on 4 June 2025. A complaint has now been filed against Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star player Virat Kohli in this case. This complaint has been lodged by social activist HM Venkatesh at the Cubbon Park Police Station in Bengaluru, although no FIR has been registered in this case yet.

Serious allegations have been leveled against Virat Kohli

Venkatesh has made serious allegations against Kohli in his complaint. He says that Kohli “promoted gambling” through IPL, due to which people gathered in large numbers outside the stadium and a stampede situation arose. Venkatesh said, “IPL is not a game but a form of gambling, which has corrupted the sanctity of cricket. Virat Kohli is the biggest face of RCB and he is a part of this gambling.” He demanded that legal action be taken by registering an FIR against Kohli and his team.

According to ANI news agency, police officials said that this complaint filed against Kohli will be looked into under the ongoing investigation. No decision has been taken yet to register a separate FIR against him.

So far four people have been arrested in this case. These include RCB’s senior officer Nikhil Sosale and three people associated with event management. They were detained from Kempegowda International Airport on the morning of June 6 in a joint operation by Cubbon Park Police and Central Crime Branch (CCB). After the arrest, these people were medically examined and then they were produced in the Sessions Court, from where they were sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
