IIT Delhi has officially announced a new BTech programme in Design, starting from the academic year 2025–26. This marks a bold move to integrate design thinking with engineering fundamentals, producing professionals who can build, innovate, and design at the same time.
📚 What Is BTech in Design?
This course will be offered by IIT Delhi’s Department of Design and aims to build creative problem-solvers for the digital and product-driven future. It blends:
Product Design & Manufacturing
UI/UX and Interaction Design
Visual Communication & Digital Interfaces
Augmented Reality, AI, and AR/VR applications
Sustainability and Social Design
🕒 Duration: 4 Years 👥 Seats: 20 (for the first batch) 🎓 Degree: Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Design

Must have passed Class 12 with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Math)
Must qualify JEE Advanced 2025
UCEED is NOT required — admissions happen through JoSAA 2025 counselling
