Chhabra 555 was started in 1954 after the partition of India. It was started by Shri Krishna Lal Chhabra. The shop was constructed on a small plot and they used to run their business at that store but after gaining the trust of the customers they took the next plot and opened the next store.
Ashita Chhabra is the granddaughter and is currently running her grandfather’s business with loyalty. She is the third generation who is managing the business.

Ashita: It was nothing planned and we did not decide the name. There was no astrology or numerology hidden.It was more of a customer’s choice. They used to describe the shop name like plot no.555 Chhabra’s sahab shop and right after that our brand got its name ‘CHHABRA 555’.

Bol Bala: Which generation is currently running the business?
Ashita: It is the third generation which is currently running by me.

Ashita: It is located in Chandni Chowk, Delhi, which is the hub of ethnic wear.

Bol Bala: Do your customers come back again?
Ashita: I want to tell you with full excitement that as we are the third generation running the shop similarly, there are many third generation customers who visit our shop for ethnic wear or for the bridal wear.
We often feel proud to serve new brides whose grandmother got their bridal lehenga or some ethnic wear from our shop, and then their mother got their bridal lehenga, and now the brides trust our brands for their dream outfits for their big day.

Ashita: We never compromise with our quality, so we conduct many rounds for the quality check after the completion. We then send it to the shop floor and we showcase the product to the customer.
