Summer.fi Just Made USDC.e Way More Useful - Here's How I'm Using It

I’ve been experimenting with DeFi for sometime now, and every once in a while, I come across an update that is genuinely designed with people like us in mind
Summer.fi just rolled out a new update that I figured is worth talking about especially if you’ve got USDC.e sitting idle and want to make it do more.
Here it is:
There's now three different ways to earn yield with USDC.e, all through the Summer.fi interface, and powered by the DAI Savings Rate (DSR). This update is particularly interesting because of the level of control and automation it gives you.
1. Multiply Your Exposure While Earning Yield
This one is for the folks who like to stay in stablecoins but want more capital efficiency.
With the new Multiply strategy, you can loop your USDC.e into a leveraged position, that's like basically borrowing DAI against your USDC.e and then putting that DAI into the DSR to earn interest. Summer.fi handles the automation so you don’t have to manually loop it yourself. The risk still exists (I mean....liquidations are real), but if you’re paying attention to your ratios, it’s a powerful setup.
2. Earn Through DSR Without the Extra Steps
Sometimes, you just want a clean, no-stress way to earn yield. The Earn strategy lets you deposit USDC.e, and behind the scenes, it gets converted to DAI and deposited into the DSR.
You get a steady, protocol-native yield (currently around 8% as of writing this), without having to manually swap, bridge, or strategize. I tested this with a small bag just to see how it works and honestly, it’s smoother than I expected.
3. Multiply & Earn Together
This combines 1 and 2 above. You can create a Multiply & Earn position where you loop USDC.e to boost your DAI exposure and earn DSR yield at the same time. This combo is pretty cool because it gives you exposure, automation, and passive income, all in one package.
I’m still testing this one, but the UX and transparency on fees and risk are solid....I guarantee you
This update from Summer.fi is definitely worth exploring. It’s non-custodial, transparent, and is built for users, not just degens.
Would love to hear if you’ve got different approaches I should try. I’m still tinkering, but so far? It’s been worth it.
