Day 0 – Starting My DevOps Learning Journey

Why I’m Doing This
Today marks Day 0 of my DevOps learning journey.
After completing my MCA , I realized that real confidence doesn't come from watching tutorials or earning certificates alone — it comes from applying concepts in practical, production-like scenarios.
This blog is my way of transforming passive learning into active skill-building. I’ll be working consistently to deepen my knowledge in:
Cloud infrastructure (AWS)
CI/CD pipelines
Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Monitoring and alerting systems
I'll also reflect on how these technologies connect and evolve in real-world DevOps environments.
What to Expect from This Blog
It’s a working log — focused on:
What I’m learning and building
Decisions I’m making and why
What breaks, and how I fix it
Lessons I learn along the way
Posts will be technical and honest written to document.
What’s Ahead
Here’s a rough outline of the first few days:
Day 1: Fundamentals of Cloud Computing and AWS Global Infrastructure
Day 2: Provisioning EC2, managing key pairs, IPs, and IAM basics
Day 3–7: CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and deploying to EC2
Later: Terraform for AWS automation, Dockerizing apps, Kubernetes deployments, monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana
This roadmap will evolve based on what I learn, what I struggle with, and where I feel the need to dig deeper.
Let’s Learn Together
If you’re on a similar path—or just interested in cloud and DevOps—feel free to follow along. I’d welcome any feedback, advice, or questions along the way. You can also share your experiences or comment directly if a topic resonates with you.
This blog is a space to think in public, build in public, and stay accountable.
