What id the Web Developement Parliament?

1. Introduction: Let’s Start with a Question

While browsing the internet, you may have come across questions like “Is frontend harder than backend?”, “React or Svelte?”, “Why is the translation team so important?” Well, imagine a place where you can discuss these questions not only on forums but also within a community.

That’s exactly why the Web Development Assembly (WGM) was created.

2. The Birth of WGM

The Web Development Assembly is a digital community where young developers, translators, researchers, and designers come together. Its founding purpose is simple but ambitious:

“To share knowledge, produce together, and shape the digital future.”

The foundation of this assembly lies in the idea that “a greater creation can emerge from the combination of multiple skill areas rather than just one person.” Everyone’s expertise may differ, but the goal is shared: to create a better web experience.

3. Departments of WGM (Councils)

WGM is not a classic community. Each department is called a “council.” This concept helps members feel more responsible and productive. Here are some key councils:

#🔧 Coding Council • Focuses on backend, frontend, API design, and security topics. • Anyone from those wanting to build their own framework to enthusiasts who only know HTML can find a place here.

#🌐 English Translation Council • WGM’s gateway to the outside world. • Contents are translated into English, from UI/UX texts to technical documents.

#🇩🇪 German Translation Council • A major step for WGM to integrate with Europe. • German content creation and translation are carried out.

##4. Why “Parliament”?

So why “Parliament” instead of Community?

Because WGM is not just a place to learn together; it is also a place to make decisions together. Every member has a vote, every idea has value.

This is not just a place to “come and go,” but a place to “come and stay.”

5. What Makes WGM Different?

With hundreds of Discord servers, forums, and GitHub organizations, why WGM?

Because there is a culture of collaboration here. WGM is not based on individual skills but on collective production. • The screens drawn by UI/UX designers are developed by the Coding Council. • The Translation Council translates these screens into English. • The Research Unit conducts user experience tests.

Everything works in an integrated and collective way. Just like a clock mechanism.

6. WGM’s Participation System

WGM is an open system, but not a random one. • Interest or enthusiasm is enough to join. • New members are guided to appropriate councils. • Contributions are measured, development is supported. • The role system is dynamic: “The doer becomes the leader.”

7. What Has Been Done So Far?

WGM has already taken many important steps: • Launch of the WebGM.org website • Development process of the Android application • Establishment of “Evacuation Notice” GUI systems • Production of content that raises environmental awareness in children • Transition from SQLite to Supabase • Foundations of its own HTTP framework laid

8. Vision for the Future

WGM produces not only code but also culture. Among its goals: • Developing open source projects • Establishing international collaborations • Organizing hackathons • Producing educational content • Partnering with technology clubs

WGM is not just an organization; it is a movement.

9. Final Words: Why Should You Join?

If you want to create something, join the discussions, shape the future together…

WGM opens a door for you. But the only thing needed to step in is a step forward.

You don’t have to know how to code. Curiosity is enough. You don’t need to be experienced. Determination is sufficient. You don’t wait for the perfect time to start. Today is enough.

The Web Development Parliament is waiting for you. Maybe the person reading this is tomorrow’s leader of the Parliament.
