Yograj Singh got angry again, said a big thing on Rohit-Virat’s retirement


Indian legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retire from Test cricket in May 2025. After both of them said goodbye to the longest format of the game, Shubman Gill has been made the captain of the team. Gill has become the fifth youngest Test captain of India. He will start his tenure during the five-match series against England starting on Friday, June 20.
Meanwhile, former India fast bowler Yograj Singh said that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could have continued playing Test cricket for the next five years. He said that Rohit and Kohli should have waited for Shubman to be given the command. Yuvraj Singh’s father also revealed that he suggested Rohit to wake up at 5 am and run 20 kilometers to keep himself fit.

Speaking to InsideSport, Yograj said, ‘Virat and Rohit should not have retired from Tests. I had told Rohit to wake up at 5 am and run 20 kms to keep himself fit. Virat and Rohit can still play Test cricket for 5 more years. They should have played. They should have seen to it that the responsibility is given to the youth. The responsibility has not been passed, it has been thrown to Gill.’
Apart from this, Yograj Singh also revealed and said, ‘Even when Yuvraj was retiring, I had promised him that I would help him become the captain of the Indian team, but he retired.
Let us tell you that at present the Indian team is ready to face England in the five-match Test series in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The first Test is starting from June 20 at Headingley, Leeds.
