Not Just Colors and Fonts – The Pain, Passion, and Purpose of a Designer

"Why did you choose design?"
A question every designer hears. The truth? Most of us didn’t choose it. It chose us — through sketches on notebooks, broken mouse clicks, or the first time we edited a photo just for fun.

But what no one sees is the pain behind the pixels.

We live in a world where people think design is "easy." Where clients say, "Just make it look good" without knowing how many hours we spent learning tools, battling creative blocks, and doubting ourselves.

I started with zero. No art degree. Just YouTube tutorials, rejected concepts, low-budget clients, and a vision to create something meaningful. I worked till 2 AM, edited during chai breaks, and learned branding while the world scrolled past stories.

There are days we designers feel invisible. Our work speaks louder than we do, but the world often doesn’t listen.

Still, we keep going.
Not for fame.
Not for followers.
But for the feeling when a client says, “This is exactly what I imagined.”

Design is not a job. It’s an emotion. A combination of rejection, revision, and a few moments of magic.
