NodeOps is excited to sponsor Permissionless IV, taking off June 22 with the main event running 24–26, 2025 in Industry City, NYC. This is the 4th edition of Blockwork’s successful event that brings thousands of Web3, crypto, and DeFi enthusiasts from around the globe.

Permissionless brings together the top voices in crypto to share ideas, launch projects, and explore what’s next. From restaking to rollups, infra to onchain apps — if it’s happening in crypto, it’s being discussed here.

You’ll find the NodeOps team on the floor. Come by, say hi, and see what we’re building to make decentralized Cloud accessible to everyone.

Hack with us on June 22

Ahead of the main event, NodeOps is hosting the Permissionless Hackathon: June, 22—23. The prize pool is 5,000 USDC. Not only are great prizes up for grabs, NodeOps Cloud Marketplace offers builders a real opportunity to drive revenue. Join the hackathon or leverage this resource to learn how to turn your app into an at-a-click revenue stream.

The hackathon is spread over two days:

  • Sunday Kickoff: June 22, 14:00—18:00

  • Monday Wrapup & Submissions: June 23 8:00—19:30

Meet your developer advocate

The hackathon is hosted by our very own Juliana, Developer Relations at NodeOps. She’ll be mentoring teams and sharing what’s possible on the NodeOps Network.

Juliana has worked in Web3 for over seven years. She started by building a wallet for RWAs in 2017 and has since contributed across MEV tooling, NFT marketplaces, and decentralized infra. She led DevRel at Virtuals, contributed to Blocknative, and brings a sharp technical eye to every builder conversation. Grab her on X if you are heading in and want to meet IRL: sudobangbang.

Let’s build

So, what can you build to earn prizes and revenue on NodeOps Cloud Marketplace? The only restriction is that the application or service can be containerized. You have free rein to use any tech stack and solve any problem.

Step 1: Build your app

While any tech stack may be used, prizes will be awarded according to the following rubric:

  1. Must be original or impactful.

  2. Preferred categories:

  • AI + Agents, DePIN, social media, DeFi, data science, AI picture generator

  • Gaming and experiences

  • Dev tools and infra management

  • OS project deployment at-a-click

  • Automation: of common tasks or E2E (end-to-end) processes

  1. Preference over templates that:
  • Help automate repetitive tasks

  • Unlock E2E setups for real-world use cases

  1. Documented and described to support future template consumers

But, remember, while this is a hackathon and it’s awesome to win, what you build can land on the Cloud Compute Marketplace as a consumer-facing template and, at the launch of NodeOps Network Mainnet, each template earns 20% of the workload revenue paid by users to use that product or service. So get out there and solve real-world problems, because there are people ready to pay for your solutions.

Step 2: Dockerize your app

Containerization lets developers build and run apps in a way that’s portable, consistent, and efficient across different environments. This means fewer bugs and surprises. At Mainnet launch, NodeOps Network requires all apps to be public Docker images.

Learn how to Dockerize.

Step 3: Templatize your app

NodeOps Cloud Compute is consumed via "playbooks" of templates. This allows users to understand the tech they are relying on, verify the security of the applications they select, and to deploy with confidence in a repeatable, auditable way.

Each playbook defines the infrastructure, dependencies, and runtime logic needed to launch a specific workload. Whether you're deploying a validator node, running a restaked service, or launching a dApp backend, templatizing your app ensures it can scale across the Cloud.

Playbooks are open, composable, and stored onchain, giving your project transparency by design.

This will all be covered in the hackathon, but if you want to get started or diy this:

Let’s connect

NodeOps Cloud Marketplace exists to connect. It connects Compute providers to Compute consumers; it connects app developers to users who will provide their revenue, it connects everyone to decentralized Cloud Compute with no single point of failure. Even if you can’t be there in person, you are welcome to leverage this hackathon and connect with the growing NodeOps Network ecosystem.

If you can be there IRL, come to the hackathon, or just DM us. Whether you're a solo hacker, a Protocol team, an enterprise team looking to reduce your Cloud costs and risks, or just curious about decentralized Cloud Compute, we’re excited to meet you.

Let’s build the future of onchain infra, together.
