Ronaldo gifts jersey with ‘special message’ to Trump

US President Donald Trump has hinted that the United States may join Israel in attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Amid the tensions of war, Trump received a special jersey wrapped in a message of peace.
Trump recently went to Canada to attend the G-7 summit, and there the US President received a surprising gift, sent by Cristiano Ronaldo himself.
Donald Trump, who was attending the G7 summit to discuss the issue with world leaders, was presented with a Portugal jersey signed by Ronaldo by former Prime Minister and European Council President Antonio Costa, who told Trump that the jersey had a special message.
What is the message? The jersey reads, ‘To President Donald J. Trump, playing for peace’. Ronaldo’s signature is underneath the number 7 jersey. The photo and video of Trump wearing Ronaldo’s jersey have been circulating on social media. Costa later shared the photo on social media and wrote, ‘To President Donald Trump, playing for peace, as a team.’
There are mixed reactions to the jersey gift to Trump. Some applauded, but many criticized. Under Antonio Costa’s post, one wrote, ‘Does this mean Ronaldo supports Trump and Costa’s genocide?’ Another wrote, ‘But this man is the cause of all the wars and chaos.’
Incidentally, the 40-year-old Ronaldo now plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr. He recently won the Nations League with Portugal. There were rumors that CR7 could leave Al Nasr and join another club. However, Ronaldo ruled out that possibility after winning the Nations League.
