SciChart.js Javascript WebGL WebAssembly Progress Update / April 2020

We’ve already blogged about SciChart.js – our High Performance Realtime Javascript Chart library which is in development now. If you haven’t seen it already, check out the blog post titled SciChart.js Preview – Creating Real-time JavaScript Stock Charts with WebAssembly & WebGL.
In this post we’re going to share a video which shows our rapid progress in building what we believe will be the World’s Fastest JavaScript Chart Component. Without further ado, here is the video!
SciChart.js Progress Update April 2020 – ECG, Realtime Stock Charts, 1 Million Points & more!
Our Progress to Date
So far since starting development, we have successfully ported our 2D/3D graphics engine Visual Xccelerator® to WebGL using WebAssembly. This was possibly the most difficult part of the work and is now almost fully complete. All the features and functions that we’ve exposed in our WPF Charts, iOS Charts and Android Charts including 2D realtime graphs, 3D charts and visualisations and more will be available in SciChart.JS.
We’ve also built the several 2D Chart types in JavaScript, including:
Realtime Javascript Line Charts
Realtime Javascript Candlestick Charts
Realtime Javascript Mountain / Area Charts
Realtime Javascript Column Charts
Realtime Javascript Scatter Charts
As well as several core features, such as:
Annotations (overlay objects, shapes, lines, boxes, text over the chart)
Tooltips (overlay dynamic rollover tooltips as you move the mouse or touch device)
… And! A few real-time demos:
A JavaScript Realtime Chart demo showing 1,000,000 (one million) data-points.
A Realtime Ticking Stock Chart demo showing fast updating of a candlestick chart
A Realtime ECG/EKG medical chart demo showing how SciChart’s JavaScript Charts could be used in industrial real-time monitoring or medical applications.
