How I Got Into Navodaya

๐ From Practice to Purpose: How I Got Into Navodaya in 5th Grade
In my previous blog, I shared how I got selected for a scholarship in 4th standard. That journey laid the foundation for the next big milestone in my life โ cracking the Navodaya entrance exam in 5th standard.
This is the story of how my Navodaya journey began.
๐ซ A New Class, A Familiar Face
After completing 4th grade at Irrigation Bangla School, Kolki, I moved to Jay Bhavani High School, Tirakwadi โ the very school where my mom teaches Marathi and History to 9th and 10th standard students.
Going to school with my mom every day felt special. I was excited and proud to study in the same place where she taught. It felt like a full-circle moment.
๐ง Preparing for Navodaya
By now, I had a goal in mind โ I wanted to crack the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) entrance exam. And I was ready to give it my all.
To prepare better, I joined Kawade Classes, a coaching center known for helping students like me aim high. Under the guidance of Kawade Sir, I started solving previous year papers, strengthening my basics, and sharpening my problem-solving skills.
Every day was filled with practice. We didnโt just learn โ we worked hard, analyzed patterns, and trained our minds to stay calm and confident.
โฝ Beyond Books: Sports and School Life
While I was focused on studies, I never gave up on sports. I enjoyed school life โ both in the classroom and on the playground. I believe that balancing academics and activities made me more focused, energetic, and positive throughout the preparation phase.
๐ The Exam Day
When the day of the Navodaya exam arrived, I was surprisingly confident. All those hours of hard work, mock tests, and encouragement from my teachers paid off.
The paper went smoothly. I still remember walking out of that exam hall with a smile, silently telling myself, โI think I did it.โ
๐ The Result That Changed Everything
And yes โ I cracked the exam!
I still remember the moment I heard I had been selected for JNV. It was more than just happiness โ it was the start of a new chapter, full of hope and possibilities.
After completing the medical test and document verification, I was officially a student of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
โจ The Journey Begins
That moment changed my life.
From a small village and a simple school, I was now stepping into one of the most respected residential schools in India. The dream had come true โ not just for me, but for my parents, teachers, and everyone who believed in me.
In my next blog, Iโll share how life inside Navodaya transformed me โ not just as a student, but as a human being.
