AI will land jobs

If you are a software developer with good experience, you know the job search can be very hard. You can build big, important software. You have many skills. But you send your resume to many companies and often you hear nothing back. It is a very bad feeling. You feel lost. Then, if you get an interview, they ask strange questions that do not test your real skills for the job.

I was very tired of this broken system. I decided I will not play this old game. I started to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help me. I use AI to be more clever.

Here are my stories about how I use AI to win.

Story 1: The Revolut Interviews

I wanted to get a job at a company called Revolut. I knew the interviews would be hard. So, I went to the internet and found many interview questions that they ask people. I took all of these questions and gave them to an AI. Then, I practiced with the AI. It was like having a practice interview at home. The AI would ask me a question, I would answer, and then the AI would tell me the good parts and bad parts of my answer. It helped me to think better. Because I did this many times, I felt very strong and confident. I passed four hard technical interviews at Revolut already.

Story 2: The Important Negotiation

For another job, I used AI to do more than just practice. Before my interview, I asked the AI to learn everything about the company. The AI found that the company had a big, risky problem with a new project. When I went to talk to them about my salary, I was ready. I told them, “I see you have this big problem. This is a very risky time for you. I can help you with this problem because I have fixed a problem just like this before.” Suddenly, I was not just a person asking for a job. I was a problem solver. This changed everything and helped me get a much better offer.

Story 3: The Live Coding "Secret"

In many live coding interviews, they ask the same questions over and over. So, sometimes I use my phone for a little help. I speak the question out loud, like I am thinking. But my phone is listening, and ChatGPT is finding ideas for me. I don’t do this for things I don’t know. I do it because I am lazy to prepare for the same simple questions again. It helps me pass the boring parts so I can talk about the real, important work.

More AI Tricks I Use

- Beating the Resume Robots: Many companies use a computer system (called ATS) to read resumes. This computer can lose your resume if it does not have the right keywords. I use AI to write my resume with all the best words so the computer always finds me.

- The 60-Second Introduction: The first 30 seconds of an interview are the most important. I use AI to create a perfect 60-second introduction. In this pitch, I say my name, my experience, and exactly why I am the best person for their company.

TLDR: It Is an AI vs. AI Fight

Some people may say this is cheating, but I do not think so. It is a new world. Companies use AI to check our resumes. Their AI is not perfect. It can have old, unfair ideas. So, if they use AI to judge me, I will use AI to help me. It is a big game of AI against AI. This is the new way to be successful.

What is the most crazy or silly question you got in a job interview? Please tell me your story in the comments. We can try to make a funny answer together with AI!
