Why I Started My Web Development Journey in My First Year of College

📍 Who Am I?

I'm not a prodigy, not a topper — just a regular student with a laptop, curiosity, and a vision.
I recently joined NIT Raipur as an Information Technology (IT) student, and I’ve already decided that I want to do something more than just attend lectures and pass exams.

So I chose to dive into web development — and here's why.

👨‍💻 Why I Chose Web Development

There are hundreds of paths in tech: AI, ML, data science, app dev, cyber security... but I chose web development because:

• 💻 It’s visual — I love seeing instant results as I build

• 🧱 It’s foundational — teaches real development logic

• 🛠 It’s freelance-friendly — perfect for starting early

• 🚀 It opens doors to startups, products, SaaS, and more

Also, some of the most successful developers online started with web dev — and now they run their own startups or earn lakhs monthly through freelancing or full-time jobs.

🎯 My Vision for College Life

I don’t want to just go with the flow. I want to:

• Build skills that make me independent

• Work on projects that are visible to the world

• Share my journey openly (like this blog)

• Start freelancing before 2nd year

• Grow both in coding and confidence

• Also… play cricket 🏏 and chill sometimes 😄
